Carlos Altimari
Carlos has been a partner at the firm since 2020, providing clients with expert corporate and contractual legal counsel, with a primary focus on the Energy (Oil & Gas), Banking, and International Trade sectors. He specializes in designing complex corporate structures for business operations in Venezuela, as well as implementing contractual strategies for international investment and finance. He has spearheaded major acquisition deals, bringing extensive experience in leading corporate due diligence, regulatory compliance management, and technology transfer operations. His practice is centered on representing energy firms, financial institutions, investment groups, and companies engaged in transnational trade.
Carlos is an attorney who graduated from Universidad del Zulia in 2002 (Maracaibo, Venezuela). He earned a Specialization in Corporate Law from Universidad Metropolitana in 2005 (Caracas, Venezuela) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Southern California in 2019 (Los Angeles, USA), along with certificates in Transnational Law & Business and Business Law. He is currently completing a Specialization in International Oil Policy and Trade at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
Carlos began his career building a robust foundation in litigation and energy-focused corporate consulting (Oil & Gas) as a Senior Associate at Pérez-Duin Gutiérrez D’Corte Rivero & Asociados (2005-2006). He later spearheaded the national legal strategy for the global multinational Brahma (Ambev) from 2006 to 2010. His professional trajectory also includes high-level public management within the Miranda State Government (2013-2017) and a key role in the financial sector as Executive Manager of Legal Affairs and Regulatory Compliance at Banesco Banco Universal (2025), the country’s largest private bank, where he led the institution’s alignment with international governance standards and complex regulatory frameworks.
