Homero Moreno Riera
Homero has been a partner of the Firm since 2021 and offers his clients legal advice on corporate law, public economic law, free competition, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, Oil & Gas and electrical energy. Homero has represented important engineering and construction companies in Venezuela, as well as companies in the hydrocarbon sector.
Homero is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1999 (Caracas, Venezuela). He obtained an MBA degree, specializing in International Law at CEREM International Business School (Madrid, Spain), Master in Senior Management at the Università di Genova (Genova, Italy), Specialist in Corporate Law at the Universidad Metropolitana (Caracas, Venezuela), and Legal Assistant at Cooper Career Institute (West Palm Beach, Florida, United States of America).
He also completed the Diploma in Administrative Law at JUDEC Center for Legal Study and Development, the Diploma in Advanced Studies in Economic Regulation Law at the Universidad Metropolitana, the Diploma in Administrative Law at the Universidad of Buenos Aires (UBA) and attended the Harvardx Course, Contract Law: From Trust to Promise to Contract, at Harvard University. He was an intern of the XII CAN-BID/INTAL Integration Training Program (2004).
Since 2006, Homero has been a Public Interpreter in the English language.
In 1999 he was a Paralegal at The Crenshaw Law Firm (Florida, United States of America) and, later, a lawyer at Aquiles Blanco & Asociados (Caracas, Venezuela). From 2001 to 2006, he worked in the Public Administration in Venezuela as a Competition Specialist at the Superintendence for the Promotion and Protection of Free Competition (Pro-Competencia) and, later, as Director of Technical Regulations at the National Autonomous Standardization, Quality, Metrology and Technical Regulations Service (SENCAMER). Likewise, from 2006 to 2010 he was an in-house lawyer for the INELECTRA Group and, since 2010, he has been Corporate Manager of Legal Affairs for the same Group.
He has been a guest speaker for the company Marcus Evans in the areas of Corporate Law, Oil & Gas and Compliance, guest professor of Competition Law, Restrictive Practices of Free Competition, Unfair Competition and Administrative Procedures at different universities and professional chambers in Venezuela, as well as a professor of translation of legal documents in the Legal Translation Program of the Universidad Metropolitana (Caracas, Venezuela). He is a professor of Public Economic Law in the Corporate Law Specialization of the Universidad Metropolitana (Caracas, Venezuela) and of Public Services Delivery Systems in the Economic Law Specialization of the Universidad Monteávila (Caracas, Venezuela).
