
Alejandro has been a partner of the Firm since 2020 and offers his clients legal advice on international corporate and tax structuring, international distribution of products and regulatory matters, with special emphasis on the pharmaceutical and food sectors. Specifically, he has represented laboratories, food companies, pharmacy chains, clinics, specialized health centers, technological innovation companies and family groups.
Alejandro is a lawyer, who graduated cum laude from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 2004 (Caracas, Venezuela). He obtained the title of Doctor of Law (Ph.D.), cum laude unanimously, at the Universidad de Navarra in 2011 (Pamplona, Spain). As part of his doctoral studies, in 2009, he completed a research stay at Fordham University as a Visiting Scholar Researcher (New York, United States) and, more recently, in 2022, he completed the Global Taxation Program at the IE Law School (Madrid, Spain).
From 2004 to 2014 he was an associate lawyer at the firm D’Empaire (Caracas, Venezuela), and subsequently, from 2014 to 2020, he served as international legal advisor to Máh! Group, an infant food company that markets its products in several Latin American countries and of which he currently holds the position of General Counsel.
He has been a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Monteávila (Caracas, Venezuela), the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Caracas, Venezuela) and a visiting professor at the Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona, Spain). He was part of the team of researchers of the Project “Governance in Administrative Procedures for Risk Management” financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of the Government of Spain and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Magazine “Derecho y Sociedad (Law and Society)” of the Faculty of Law at Universidad Monteávila.
He has been a speaker and author in national and international legal publications at the Universidad de Navarra and the Universidad de Granada in Spain, King’s College London in London, Fordham University in New York, as well as in the Electronic Law Review Administrative Law, the Magazine “Derecho y Sociedad (Law and Society)” of the Universidad Monteávila and the Venezuelan Magazine of Commercial Law.
